Constitution Article V, Section 1

The Executive Board shall consist of the officers and four (4) trustees who shall represent the three levels of instruction (Elementary, Middle, High School) and Paraprofessionals. The Trustees shall be voted into place by the general membership. This shall be the Executive Authority of the Association.

Bylaws Article III - Power and Duties of Officers and Executive Board Members

Section 1 - President - The President shall preside over meetings of the Executive Board, the Representative Council and General Meetings, appoint the chairpersons and members of standing committees, with the advice and consent of the Executive Board, appoint special committees, be ex-officio a member of all standing committees, and shall be the executive officer of the Association. The President shall represent the Association before the public either personally or through delegates, and the President shall be the ranking delegate to the State and National affiliates.

Section 2 - Vice Presidents - the First and Second Vice Presidents of the Association shall work closely with one or more standing committees as the President may suggest.
Section 3 - Secretary - The Secretary shall keep accurate minutes of all meetings of the Executive Board and the Representative Council, shall maintain official files, and shall assist the President with Association correspondence.

Section 4 - Treasurer - The Treasurer shall hold the funds of the Association and disburse them upon authorization by the Executive Board. The Treasurer shall bill the members for their annual dues, collect them and transmit amounts due to the State Teachers’ Association. The Treasurer shall maintain a roll of members. The Treasurer shall keep accurate records of receipts and disbursements, shall report to each meeting of the Representative Council, and shall prepare an annual financial statement for publication to members as directed by the Executive Board. The Treasurer shall keep the President and Executive Board informed of the financial condition of the Association. The Treasurer shall be bonded. The Treasurer shall assist the Budget Committee in the initial drafting of the Annual Budget. The Treasurer shall be responsible for submitting all financial records for an independent audit each year.

Section 5 - The Trustees from the Elementary, Middle and High School will work closely with the Building Representatives from the level they represent. The Paraprofessional Trustee will work closely with the Rep Council Para Reps who will in turn be responsible for communicating with paraprofessionals in each building. Trustees may be assigned to one or more standing committees as the President may suggest.
